about

Oh dear. This is a true story. And this is the whole story. Nothing else happened – honest! No, I really mean it this time. This song was written as a deal made with a young man at the Gower Bluegrass Festival (set on a Heritage Farm), for the Cornish Bluegrass Festival. I started it at Gower, finished it at Corwall and spent the week in between coming up with the rest. He was obviously too young to get the Mrs Robinson reference! I felt even older than I did already. (The tickle that he offered is a Flats & Sharps bluegrass gangster handshake – just so we’re clear!)
